  • Gen-XYZ#$@%!

My newest internet obsession is personal style slash fashion blogs. I love the way Style Bubble writes, Fops and Dandies does some great stuff with could-be-ubiquitous pieces (too bad she's decided not to post for a while...), and Sea of Shoes's wardrobe (and associated spending power) is every girl's dream come true. Of course, they all have the concept of individual style down to a tee (pun not intended at all - seriously, it hit me when I typed it lol - these girls hardly wear t-shirts!). They talk about fashion - new designers, collections, recent purchases, covets and often post pictures of "what I wore today". I don't know exactly how old they are, but I'm guessing they're my age plus or minus five years.

T Magazine just published a feature on style blogs not dissimilar to those just mentioned, except the bloggers are teens. Tavi, my favourite, is twelve. Yup. TWELVE. She buys, styles and shoots her own shots, and man, if this doesn't show talent, I don't know what does.

Admittedly, some shots and outfits aren't for everyone (well of course not, I can't even fit in half her clothes - but that's not what I meant), but the number of good ones she's got are beyond camera luck.

Day-m! What was I wearing when I was twelve? Jeans, t-shirt and sneakers I suppose. Hey, wait a minute - that's what I still wear... Ah, I'm incorrigible. Don't mind me while I find a corner to sulk in.

[edit]: Gee, what a non-issue. Both the commenter on Tavi's blog and the editor who decided to have this article published are just plain silly. Go Tavi's dad!
